Shipping Policy
POSTAGE AND DELIVERY
Unless stated otherwise within the item description of a specific product or unless shown additionally at the checkout, equip e-bikes offers free delivery of all items to all major cities or metropolitan areas. Typically, we also ship free of cost to most regional areas, but we may contact you to request an additional charge when posting to some rural areas. Examples of when we would request additional payment include, but are not limited to, Upper North WA, WA Northern Regional, Australian external territories such as Christmas Island or Tasmania Antarctic Bases. You reserve the right to cancel your order should the additional charges not suit you and we will fully refund you.
We make use of several different third-party logistic providers for our deliveries depending on the size of the package and what’s best suited to your delivery needs. Although we use the best logistic services possible for your needs, once a package has been dispatched by us, it is out of our hands, and we cannot assume responsibility for circumstances or processes arising beyond our control. Please refer to our Lost or Stolen Packages section for more information below.
Our typical handling time (to process and dispatch items) is between 1-2 business days after payment has been received. The expected delivery time, on top of our handling time, typically varies between 5 to 10 business days for all major metropolitan areas such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart. Deliveries to rural areas may take up to 2-3 weeks. In all cases, a confirmation email with a tracking number and an estimated delivery time will be sent to you once the order has been dispatched. Business days are counted as Monday to Friday and exclude public holidays.
If we are not able to deliver to your location, due to unforeseen circumstances such as an invalid customer address or sudden escalation of shipping costs to your area, then we will contact you via. the contact information you have provided to us and seek a resolution. This may include requesting more information from you or an additional payment to cover the extra cost of shipping. An invalid address may include a PO box or commercial address which cannot receive the items due to the item size or weight. We reserve the right to cancel your order if we are not able to clarify the required information within a reasonable time or receive the additional postage cost from you. In all cases, we will contact you in advance in this situation.
During peak seasons such as Christmas or Easter Holidays you may experience a slight delay in receiving your package due to higher demands placed on the Australian postal services. Please kindly factor this in when ordering from us to allow sufficient time to receive your package.
COLLECTION IN STORE is not available at this stage.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
We can also provide international shipping at an additional cost for our items. The additional cost for shipping can be viewed upon check out for international customers but we may need to contact you in case we need to request any additional payments for delivery. We are not able to ship lithium-ion batteries using air freight as these are classified as hazardous goods.
Electric Pedal Power does not cover the cost of any additional international import fees such as tax or custom duties. This amount is determined by your local customs and may vary from country to country. Please kindly contact your local agency to receive an estimate for the final cost to release your package directly from your local customs to avoid any surprises.
LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES
Please provide the courier company with a safe drop-off location as not all packages require a signature to confirm their receipt. If the courier confirms the delivery of the package(s) but the item(s) were then stolen from your delivery address or if item(s) are reported as not received by you, although the logistics company has proof of delivery, then Electric Pedal Power will not be held liable. A resolution will need to be sought between you and the courier company.
We will provide you with a tracking number after dispatching of your item(s). You may track the package yourself using the logistic company’s tracking webpage. As discussed elsewhere, once we have dispatched the package, we have no control over the delivery of the package as it is in the hands of our third-party logistics company. For this reason, it is typical for you (the customer) to lodge a claim directly with the courier company in case a package has been lost or damaged in transit. You must lodge the claim, but we will be there to help throughout the process. Upon check out, we will offer you the chance to pay for an additional shipping insurance. This is highly recommended for any items costing more than $100.
